National technical museum shall prepare an exhibition of Tatra 87 in Centre for Building heritage during Plasy fair event. This one of the most precious exhibit owned by National Technical Museum is the original car used by famous travellers J. Hanzelka and M. Zikmund.
On Saturday 17th there will be also a presentation of Tatra heritage club, and there will be displayed at about ten cars of this famous Czech brand. The presentation will take place at the exposition of Building in CSD Plasy.
Tatra 87 - the car that legendary Hanzelka and Zikmund used for their first great travel around the world received a National Cultural Heritage status and will be on this opportunity displayed outside of the main building of the museum in Prague. For a short time, the car shall accompany the ongoing exhibition in Plasy that is dedicated to Hanzelka and Zikmund.
This exceptional 8 cylinder air-cooled engine was able to achieve a speed of 160 km/hour and will be parked on the yard of the Building exposition in one of the oldest garage, that was preserved in our country. The garage server originally as a part of the brewery was heated by steam from the brewery and was equipped with a hot and cold water pipeline system. The plans are from 1912.
