The injury prevention collection was established simultaneously with the founding of the technical museum as a response to the then-current efforts to increase workplace safety. This was achieved by introducing various additional safety devices on machines that caused the most injuries and through intensive promotion of safety principles and rules. The museum exhibition was intended to serve as a means of educating the workforce and the public in this regard.
The collection predominantly includes various working machines in model scale, equipped with additional devices designed to prevent injuries. In addition to these often curious models, the collection also contains various personal protective equipment and some promotional and warning posters.
