The main part of this collection consists of a historical collection of models of roof trusses of ordinary and important buildings, towers and examples of joinery interior elements (staircases, windows, doors). Samples of building materials come directly from manufacturers, and special features include a set of mechanical aids for making building construction calculations.
Currently, the collection of authentic building elements, materials and constructions is being systematically expanded over the long-term. Its development is very closely related to the project of NTM’s Center for Building Heritage in Plasy, which was implemented between 2008 and 2015. Since then, part of this collection has been presented as part of its permanent exhibition. Another important part of the collection is stored in depositories, which are still waiting to be made available in the form of a study exhibition.
